the design, before skin

Moxy sits inside Bamboo Salon Studios on 3500 South, in Studio 18. It is one room, and that is on purpose.

Ryan Foster owns it and he still works the chair. Nothing here comes off a production line. Your idea gets drawn for you first, you see the design before anything touches skin, and if it is not right yet it gets changed until it is.

Four artists work out of this room. Between them they cover most of what people come in asking for, from a small piece of fine detail to a full sleeve booked across a few sittings.

Marie runs Stuck On You out of the same studio, so permanent jewelry happens in this room too. It is a small space and everyone in it knows each other, which is most of why it feels the way it does.

The rating on Google is 5.0 across 51 reviews. We would rather let those speak than talk about ourselves.

Ryan owns Moxy and he still works the chair. He takes the large pieces, the sleeves and the back work that run across more than one sitting, and he draws every one of them himself before it goes on skin.

Most named in our reviews

Lynn

Meet Lynn. She loves to go camping and she loves to shop. Sketching is her free time activity, which is probably why the drawing is right before you ever sit down. She does fine line and American Traditional and Neo Traditional tattoos.

She also does cover-ups. Send her a photo of what is on you now and she will tell you straight what can be done with it.

Most of the reviews on our Google page name Lynn. That was not arranged, it is just what people write.

Meet Kenzi. She loves to snowboard and be outdoors, and painting is one of her favorite hobbies. She does realism tattoos, so if what you want is a piece that reads like the photograph you are holding, hers is the chair to ask for.

Marie

Stuck On You, permanent jewelry @stuck_on_you_permanent_jewelry

Marie runs Stuck On You out of the same studio. Permanent jewelry: a chain measured to your wrist, ankle or neck and welded closed, so there is no clasp to lose.

She is right here in the room, so it is worth asking about while you are in the chair.
